Information we collect

We collect information you provide when creating an account, updating a profile, placing an order, making a payment, submitting a review or contacting support. This can include your name, email address, mobile number, delivery address, PIN code, selected products and colours, order history, payment status or gateway reference, marketing preference, messages and review content.

Information collected automatically

The website uses local browser storage to remember your shopping bag and wishlist. Hosting, security, authentication and payment providers may process technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, request logs and fraud signals. We do not use non-essential advertising cookies in this version of the website.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, process and fulfil orders, validate stock and payments, send order confirmations, provide customer support, manage returns and refunds, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain records, improve the store and comply with applicable obligations. Marketing messages are sent only where you have opted in or otherwise permitted them.

Payments

Available methods can include Cash on Delivery and secure online payment through Razorpay using credit card, debit card, UPI or Net Banking. Card details, CVV, OTPs, banking credentials and UPI PINs are entered with the payment provider and are not stored by Somimart.com. We retain limited payment references, amount, method and status needed for fulfilment, reconciliation, support and refunds.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the store, including Vercel for website hosting, Supabase for authentication, database and image storage, Razorpay for online payments, Resend for transactional email and WhatsApp/Meta services for customer communication where used. Couriers and fulfilment partners receive the information necessary to deliver an order. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy practices.

Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where necessary with service providers, couriers, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or a successor involved in a legitimate business transfer. Access within SOMI is limited to authorised store operations and support.

Account security

Passwords are handled by the authentication provider and are not visible to SOMI staff. Customers can access only their own profile and account-linked orders. We use access controls, encrypted connections and restricted server credentials, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Retention

Account information is retained while the account is active and as reasonably needed for support. Order, payment and refund records may be retained for accounting, fraud prevention, disputes and legal obligations. Support messages and technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for their purpose.

Your choices

You can update profile details and marketing preference in My Account. You may ask us to access, correct or delete information, subject to identity verification and records we must retain for orders, accounting, fraud prevention or legal reasons. You may unsubscribe from promotional communication at any time.

Children

Somimart.com is intended for customers able to enter into a valid purchase arrangement. We do not knowingly collect account information from children without appropriate involvement of a parent or guardian.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when the website, service providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
